Our ocean view rooftop Terraza is dotted with hammocks, making it the perfect spot for an afternoon siesta. This could very well become your favorite spot to kick back and watch the sunset. Outdoor showers are provided for sandy feet and salty bodies. All rooms are non-smoking. With respect to the other guests, smoking is permitted in the outdoor spaces. Walk 2 minutes to a variety of local restaurants right on the beach. A few more minutes will put you in town where the food ranges from simple taco stands to fine dining. Maybe bring a flashlight for your evening walk.
Located in the state of Nayarit, Punta de Mita is made up of two villages, Nuevo Corral del Risco and Emiliano Zapata. Perched on the northern tip of Bahía de Banderas – one of the world’s largest natural bays – ideal weather and authentic south of the border charm have long drawn visitors to Mexico’s West Coast. With just over 9 miles (14.5 k) of beaches and rugged lava rock formations, this raw landscape is fringed with the jungle peaks of the Sierra Madre Mountains, home to one of the last tribes of people in North America who still live much like they did in pre-Columbian times, the Huicholes of Nayarit.
